Canada – Junior Master Class 3 – Verslag 4 mei 2004

Report by the Smarties: Sarah, Daphne, Devon, Victoria, MoniqueIn the afternoon on tuesday my group work on our project. Victoria and I worked on our boards for our project. We put our holidays and fundraising on it because in Canada we celebrate different holidays and different fundraising. Sarah and Dapne worked on the web page.In the morning, all of the people who are working on the Holland and Canada project went to the library. Our group (the smarties) decided to start working on the computers. Although, many of the computers were already taken!

We had to work on our project by hand. Basically the whole morning was just an opportunity for every one to work. While we were working, we learned a lot about each other’s country and culture. For instance, I learned that in Holland they have a lot of days off school. They have three Breaks, each about a week long! That is way more than Canada. No coincidence

Just before the May 4th Flag meeting, a document was handed over to Principal Townsend by a Dutch inhabitant of Bradford.

This could be no coincidence… a four page document from April 1945; a bulltein from the former resistance in Barneveld, the town where our teacher Gert Cozijnsen lives..
