This day, was the day of the trip

First we were going to school and they explained us what we were going to do on this day. We went to: the university, Radiostation, going to the topfloor of the cityhall, shopping at a mall and we visiting the museum.

The university:

We went to the university of Saint John, they told us a lot of things about a green crab, for example, how they keep track of the crabs movement under water with help of the technology such as a camera, sonarsounds and tags.

The radiostation

After the university we were going to the radiostation. There was a man who told us many things about how they make radioshows with help of computers. We withnessed a live radioreport and we got to practise reading a radio commersial. This way of communicaion uses a lot of technology.

Topfloor of the cityhall

From the 16th floor of the city hall we had a nice view of the city we took the lift.

The museum

Before the camera existed, people painted paintings. when the camera became competation but it was only black and white. The paintings where still popular because they were in colour. I’ve learned about schipbuilding in the early age. which is also technology.

By Michelle GoorisOn this day we had a school trip. When we were at school, they told us what we were going to do on this day. We went to: the University of Saint John, Radio station, the New Brunswick museum, shopped at a mall and a market square and we went to the top floor of the City Hall in Saint John. We traveled on a bus during our trip.

University of Saint John

When we were at the University a professor told us about the green crab. After that, they made three groups. One of the groups went to a student. The student told us how they can follow the green crab with sound. Another group went to another student. There we can see green crabs and lobsters. We also can pick them up, this was very funny. The last group stayed with the professor. He also told us how they can follow the green crabs, but with sensors.

After the University we went to the market square and the Mall and we went shopping!

Radio station

At the radio station the people told us how they make radio shows. When we were at the place were they put the songs on the air, the woman said that there was a student from the Netherlands who visited the Radio station. We also learned how they make commercials for the radio. One of the Canadian and one of Dutch students tried it. The commercial for the Canadian student was very good and the people from the radio station put it on a CD for him. This used a lot of technology.

Top floor from the City Hall in Saint John

We rode the elevator to the 16th floor of the City Hall. When we were on the 16th floor we saw the whole city, it looked very nice.

New Brunswick museum

At this museum we had guided tour through the museum. We saw a lot of things about the history of New Brunswick. I learned about how the people made a ship many years ago. We also saw a lot of paintings, but we couldn’t take a picture of them, because this is not so good for the paintings. All of this was Technology

It was a very nice day and I learned a lot!!!!!
